Kindergarteners are enjoying our new unit on Native Americans! During this unit, they are being introduced to where indigenous people lived, that there were many different tribes of Native Americans, and that each tribe had its own way of eating, dressing, and living, depending on where it lived. They are learning how geographical locations influenced lifestyles and how Native Americans live today! They will be taking part in Native American writing, making their own totem poles, and listening to some Native American music.
SPORTS UPDATE! The first round of Frontier League Playoffs has been set.
The Varsity Boys will play at HOME on Tuesday, 2/6 @ 6:00 pm vs. Belleville-Henderson. The Varsity Girls will play @ Sackets Harbor on Wednesday 2/7 @ 7:00 pm. Good luck Golden Knights!!

Due to inclement weather conditions, the Varsity Wrestling match at South Lewis and the JV & Varsity Girls basketball game at Belleville-Henderson have been cancelled for today. The wrestling match has been rescheduled for tomorrow, January 10th. The girls games are TBD.

The Kindergartners have been learning about plants, pollination and honeybees. They learned about the process of pollination and how bees go from flower to flower to roll in the pollen and collect nectar. The students made bee headbands and experimented with pretend bees in an effort to see how pollen is spread and nectar is collected.

SENIOR CITIZENS ARE INVITED FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER Christmas dinner will be served to our school district’s very special senior citizens on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 at Copenhagen Central School. Punch will be served from 12:30 to 12:45 with guests seated for a delicious holiday dinner at 12:45. Holiday musical presentations by the Copenhagen Music Department will add to a festive day. We also want to thank the art department for making holiday place mats and centerpieces. For reservations, please call the school at 688-4411 by Friday, December 8th. Please indicate if you would like a ride to school on that day. See you on Wednesday the 13th!! This year's spirit wear sale is being organized by the Class of 2027. All orders must be in by November 9th in order to guarantee delivery before Christmas break. All students in Wee Knights - Grade 5 will be bringing order forms home.
