Band of the North Reaches Historic Statewide Ranking!

The Band of the North is making program history! The marching band is currently ranked second out of seven bands in its class statewide—a first for the program.

This 70-member, student-led ensemble brings together students in grades 6–12 from Indian River, Carthage, Copenhagen, and Gouverneur. Since July, members have been rehearsing and working together to prepare for the season. So far, they have performed at one football game and three competitions.

On Saturday, October 3, the Band of the North earned a score of 71.550, reflecting the students’ hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

We are proud of our Copenhagen students and their fellow performers from all four districts for this outstanding achievement. Congratulations to the band members and their directors, and thank you to the families and supporters who cheer them on!

Keep up the amazing work, Band of the North!
