The Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County will host an upcoming event, Lock It Down, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:00–6:30 PM. The event will take place at the VACJC main office, 418 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601, with a virtual option available via Zoom. Local families are invited to attend.
Are you struggling with your child or teen having a phone? 📱 Want to learn how to set parental controls, install safety features, and put appropriate blocks in place? 🔒🛡️ This Internet Safety Workshop for parents will provide practical guidance and resources to help keep kids safe online.
Families are encouraged to bring their children or teens — and their phones! 📱 While parents participate in the workshop, kids and teens will take part in age-appropriate internet safety lessons, including a scavenger hunt for younger children 🕵️♀️🎯 and a separate presentation designed specifically for teens 🎧💬.
Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the VACJC office and see the Forensic Interview RV 🚐🏢.
