PUBLIC NOTICE
HEARINGS ON DISTRICT-WIDE SAFETY PLAN AND CODE OF CONDUCT
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Copenhagen Central School District will hold two public hearings during the regularly scheduled Board meeting on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the Guidance Office, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
1. The first hearing will be held regarding the proposed revisions to the District Code of Conduct for the 2025–2026 school year. The Code of Conduct will be available for public inspection beginning July 18, 2025, on the district website and at the District Office. The Board of Education anticipates adopting the revised Code of Conduct at its August 26, 2025 meeting.
2. The second hearing will address the proposed District-wide School Safety Plan for the 2025–2026 school year. In accordance with New York State Education Department regulations, the proposed Safety Plan will also be made available for public comment for 30 days beginning July 18, 2025, prior to its anticipated adoption by the Board of Education on August 26, 2025.
All interested parties are invited to attend and provide comment during the hearings. Additional comments may also be submitted in writing to the District Clerk at lsullivan@ccsknights.org prior to the August 26, 2025 Board of Education meeting.
