Perry Ground

November is National American Indian Heritage Month.   As a part of their Social Studies curriculum, the Fourth Graders have been learning about the First Settlers of Americans of New York.  The students have been busy exploring and learning everything they can about these early settlers.  As a concluding piece of the unit they built longhouses and even had an important guest speaker.  Perry Ground is a famous Iroquois story teller from the Onondaga (turtle) clan.
