CCS 3rd Graders participated in a STEAM Building challenge as part of Connected Learning Week. They were paired up with students from South Lewis and Indian River schools in a "Pumkin' Chunkin' Challenge'. Given identical sets of "supplies", students worked together in groups of 3-5 to create a way to launch a candy pumpkin the farthest.
A team from Mrs. Virkler's class at CCS was crowned the ultimate makers, launching their "punkin" 21 1/2 feet!!
