Through a partnership with Mountain View Prevention Services, CCS had the opportunity to host guest speaker, Wendy Fical from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for a recent assembly. Ms. Fical addressed our high school students about keeping themselves safe from predators of all types including internet and human trafficking. Our students were taught that the highest percentage of students who go missing are in the age range from high school to college. They were also shown how victims, both male and female, are lured by predators in the most innocuous ways, like posing as a camera crew screening for the latest reality show stars. It was an enlightening presentation full of relevant information which was appreciated by both students and teachers in attendance.
