Long House

Over the past few weeks, the 4th Graders have been learning about the Iroquois and the Algonquian Nations.  They learned how these early nations were able to thrive using NYS resources.  They always came together to honor, acknowledge, and give thanks to the environment and everything nature had to offer.  Perry Ground, a famous Iroquois storyteller joined the students virtually to offer first-hand knowledge of the Onondaga Nation and create cornhusk dolls.  One of their main projects was to create a long house.  Check this out to see the amazing work that went into each and everyone.  Longhouse Project Video
